Books, and even more books!!!!!!!

Books books and even more books!!!!

books were a part of me.. there was a time, sorry not juts a time, all the time.. when i was so engrossed in books that i barely blinked while reading.. i loved reading so much, it became a passion!! and then i moved away from reading when i indulged more in life.. but i still have a passion for reading..

so.. guess what, this year on my birthday i rcvd 3 books.. and i wanted them badly.. hehe

one of thems Shantaram.. good.. not yet completed though
3 cups of Tea.. awesome book
and Brida by the famous alchemist writer..

with books i always like the names of book store.. back in karachi i loved liberty books.. goign there with Mom looking around books.. and then her buying me fresh from the press books was an experience i can never forget.. coming to think of it, i have had all the fun i could have asked for.. goign there in the evening.. surfing through the leaves of books, and then making a selection of what to buy was amazing..

then there was this bookstore.. mr. old books which was equally nice.. i still go there.. when i am in pakistan..

and before that there was paramount books.. and Ferozsons.. aahh.. memories fresh as ever!!

and here in dubai.. i love magrudy's like anything.. one of my bday books come from magrudys and 2 form liberty.. i m glad!!

i m glad i love reading...
books rock.. and are still a part of my life!! and me a part of their sales.. ;)

Am kinda new to this blogging thing... and was about to remove your name from my list lol cuz I thought u were not gonna make more posts it seemed.

Getting to your post, you know I simply looove reading myself! Almost 95% of the time I visit a bookstore I have to get one...although not really into fiction.

In karachi, all I ever got the chance was to visit the urdu bazaar lol...so I'll keep some names you mentioned in mind for next time...

"You must get these medicines, go down the road and you'll see the pharmacy, also get two syringes..Be quick, we don't have much time, she needs to be injected as soon as possible" Lil Karim nodded enthusiastically. He looked in the dirty pockets of his gray kurta , there was a folded handkerchief, he had tied rs 2000 carefully in a knot in that hanky. Just yesterday Maa had gotten her monthly pay. And here she was lying on a bed in the general ward of a gov't hospital. Is that what a person who works so hard as Maa get for a gift, when I was 5, and got admitted to school, Maa got me a big red ball, such a nice gift, and why did Maa get this?? Karim, though just merely 10 years old had thoughts deep and profound. He ran off, his dusty kurta flying in the air, the rubber chappal he wore were on the verge of tearing apart, but did that matter to Karim??.. Karim ran amidst the people, since he was just 10, not much big either, people weren't letting him go ah...

I Try!!

Back with a new post!! I was cleaning my drawers today just to find some old memoirs, like the other day I found my slam book.. I keep on dwellin in the past! Today, I found my old report cards.. Nice comments, some nice grades too.. The one thing that really caught my attention was the printed poem at the back of each report card, "Try Again" which goes like 'Tis a lesson you should heed, Try again.. If at first you don't succeed, Try again.. which reminded me of my own poem, "I Try!!", I thought of puttin it up here, to save it.. Here goes; Over the mountains, Across the seven skies, Where I haven't ever been, Above tops too high, I try, To let my voice, Be heard by you, But I'll never know, If you heard my cry, I try, Hope against hope, That I'll find you, If not in this world, Then somewhere in the sky, I try, To be the person, You wish to see me, I'll never do the worst, And bid you good bye, And yet, I try. Wrote sometime in Apri...

YESSSSSS!!!! I graduated today.. :) I really can't thank Allah... the type of exams I took, and the way I took them, it was just as if I was least bothered (when I actually wasn't), though I regretted taking them that way, but MashaAllah I succeeded.. God is merciful beshak!! And I had to check it out myself online.. it was scary, last time I checked online I was 6th in my city.. :P this time I still donno what marks I got or where I stand, for the time I know I passed.. And that is what really mattered.. BTw, there is a flash I had written, will inshaAllah put it up tomorrow.. Thanks for reading!!
